This position is for our Bellevue location.


What you will do:

The Systems Administrator provides systems and networking support to a small but technologically heterogeneous and geographically distributed user base made up of technical and non-technical persons.   Maintains and supports the company’s internal servers, operating systems and computer systems.  Administers, installs and troubleshoots various operating systems, including Linux and/or Microsoft systems for reliability, stability and performance. Installs new software releases and systems patches, configures software and resolves technical OS problems.

Performs the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of networks and computer systems. Set up user accounts on organization's servers. Provide technical support and troubleshoot problems on local area networks (LAN) and data networks. May perform some programming and may be responsible for script writing.

Due to this being a small, technology-driven company, the person in this position will be exposed to a wide range of technologies and have a large influence on technology choices.  As a result, this person must be able to learn quickly, see and take initiative, and be willing to recommend, test and contribute new solutions.


What you will be responsible for:

  • Basic Linux systems administration
  • Basic Windows systems administration
  • User hardware imaging, distribution, and management
  • Virtualization administration
  • Basic network administration
  • Tier One support and basic troubleshooting
  • Public Cloud administration
  • Interpret complex issues and communicate them to others who may not be as familiar or knowledgeable
  • Ability to on occasion work evenings or weekends
  • May perform some programming and may be responsible for script writing
  • Keep abreast of current and new technologies and tools related to your field. 

What we believe is required to do the job:

  • A degree or certificate in computer science or a related field with one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CCNA-level mastery of basic networking concepts
  • Experience with command line systems administration and automation tools (Puppet, bash, IOS, AWS, etc.)
  • Interest/some knowledge of Java, Python, or similar programming language
  • Test automation systems experience
  • AWS, Azure, or similar Platform as a Service (PaaS) experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
