This position is for our Bellevue location.  

What you will do:

Our Senior Systems Engineering consultants are experts in complex product and system development. They also have skills in technical program management and team leadership. The nature of our systems engineering work and assignments vary depending on the specific customer engagements; our immediate needs are in the areas of systems development, integration, verification, and certification applicable to aerospace and medical product development. The ability to interface and coordinate directly with customers at all levels within an organization is required. The ability to collaborate and lead multidisciplinary teams is critical to success in Base2 client engagements.  Successful Base2 Systems Engineering consultants typically have a foundation in systems design and have extensive experience in most phases of the product development life cycle.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute and add value to client projects in the areas of requirements analysis and management; system architecture and design; system test and verification; technical program management, technical issue resolution, or product management
  • Use systems engineering principles to develop an approach tailored to the need, the system, the customer, and the development organization
  • Develop and nurture long term customer relationships
  • Recognize client needs that may lead to additional opportunities for Base2
  • Keep abreast of current and new technologies and tools related to your field

What is required to do the job:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related scientific degree (required)
  • Master’s Degree in engineering, the Sciences, or Business Administration (desired)
  • 8+ years working in technical and/or systems engineering capacity
  • Knowledge of complex systems in either the aerospace or medical device fields
  • Able to orient to a new program or situation quickly and apply logical problem-solving skills to solve customers’ most challenging issues
  • Proactive self-starter, takes initiative and ownership of issues and products
  • Aptitude to work collaboratively and drive consensus and alignment within and across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to influence executives, key-decision-makers and highly technical resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite at client facilities
  • Ability to travel locally between client site and Base2 office
