This position is for our Bellevue location.

What you will do:

We’re looking for an energetic Senior Technical Project Manager with hands-on waterfall and agile scrum experience. Your primary job will be leading and controlling the overall project, including detailed release and sprint planning. TPMs must conduct effective meetings and daily scrums and help team members resolve technical, process, and people problems.  You will work to make sure Base2 executives, stakeholders and product owners understand project status, risks and are getting the value they deserve. You need to understand complex systems and how issues are relevant across the broader program. You will be expected to manage your projects using our QMS process to support delivery of a quality product. It is extremely important that you be able to identify risks that could derail your projects by working with your team and analyzing schedule, budget and test artifacts for metrics that will provide an accurate assessment of project health.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Managing to metrics
  • Drive the project through the entire SDLC
  • Manage multiple projects at any given time
  • Oversee the functional specification, requirements and/or scope of the project/program
  • Regularly interface with customers to establish and maintain a healthy customer relationship
  • Provide technical and analytical information to the customer, Base2 executives and project team
  • Lead project related meetings for kick off, discovery, status update, close out and post mortems, etc.
  • Coordinate cross functional activities ensuring that the project is on-time and on-budget
  • Develop and present project documentation such as agendas, project milestone documents, project charters, communication and project plans and both summary and detailed status reports
  • Create Statements of Work and support responses to RFP/RFIs
  • Identify and forecast all resources for project completion
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of all project timelines, scope and budget
  • Review deliverables prepared by team to ensure quality
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
  • Incorporate process improvements based upon internal and external feedback
  • Review deliverables prepared by project teams to ensure quality and adherence to process
  • Collaborate with project team members to present inventive ideas to our customers; work with solution architects, sales and account directors as needed
  • Keep abreast of current and new technologies and tools related to your field and projects

What we believe is required to do the job:

  • 8 years of experience leading and managing successful technical projects required, 10 years preferred
  • Agile Scrum experience required
  • BS in Computer Science or other engineering focus a plus
  • Strong preference for applicants with aerospace experience
  • AS9100 or ISO 9001 experience a plus
  • Attention to detail, passion for project management and the discipline to meet your deliverables
  • Ability to manage time well, multi-task, take initiative and learn and use new technologies quickly
  • Exceptionally strong leadership and customer relationship skills
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You must be a team player and can bring out the best in others
  • Broad awareness of web and mobile technologies with an ability to support business development activities as needed
